Recently, I rediscovered just how much I enjoy writing, and fortunately, it coincided with my unrelated discovery of HubPages. Serendipity in action, I suppose, but writing has little to do with luck I'm discovering.
After receiving my degree in history at Portland State, I am now working on an M.A. in biblical studies at Multnomah Seminary, and dabble in just about everything related to creativity. Whether it be classical piano, theatre, or art, if it's related to the arts, odds are I've taken a stab at it. (I leave it up to others to determine if I'm any good or not) I'm a fairly passionate person, and have discovered the most effective outlet for that component of my personality is travel. So obviously, I'm usually broke, but I've got some damn good stories for my grandchildren.
Concerning writing, my greatest desire is that it can inspire others, that I will say those words that, God willing, can be a beacon to others in times of need. And of course, educating others while making a little money wouldn't be bad either.
I've just started a very weird, but funny I hope, blog at http://prayforfire.blogspot.com/
